Hilary Griffiths is a British conductor living in Germany. He has held appointments as General Music Director of the Symphony Orchestra and Opera in Regensburg, Chief Conductor of the State Opera, Prague, Music Director of the Oberhausen Opera, Principal Staff Conductor at the Cologne Opera and Director of the Opera Studio, Music Director of the Eutin Opera Festival and Music Director and Chief Conductor of the Wuppertal Opera.
He has conducted at the Edinburgh Festival, the Wiesbaden May Festival, the Würzburg Mozart Festival, the Schwetzingen Festival, the Perth Festival, the Prague Spring Festival and the Lincoln Center Festival in New York. He has appeared several times in Japan, China and Australia, performs throughout Europe, and makes regular visits to South America.

September/October 2014: Hilary Griffiths, together with stage director Rudolf Frey, leads the International Opernwerkstatt for young opera singers in Sigriswil, Switzerland, with concerts in Bern, Thun and the Tonhalle, Zürich.
